Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Frank R. Jimenez is responsible for all legal, governance and compliance matters for Xylem and helps ensure that the decisions of the company's Board of Directors are effectively implemented. He was named General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Xylem Inc. when the company was formed from the spinoff of the water businesses of ITT Corporation in 2011. He joined ITT in June 2009 as Vice President and General Counsel.
Jimenez previously served under Presidents Bush and Obama as General Counsel of the Navy, where he was one of seven Senate-confirmed Pentagon civilians of four-star equivalent rank overseeing the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. He also served as Chief of Staff of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Prior to HUD, Jimenez was Deputy Chief of Staff and Acting General Counsel for Florida Governor Jeb Bush. He also served as a litigation partner in the Miami office of Steel Hector & Davis LLP (now Squire Sanders & Dempsey LLP).
Jimenez graduated from the University of Miami with a B.S. in biology. He received his J.D. from the Yale Law School, and holds an M.B.A. with majors in Finance and Strategic Management from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and an M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College.
